Care Guide

Daily Wear & Protection

Keep it dry: Remove your jewelry before showering, swimming, washing hands, and going to bed. Soapy water leaves a residue that dulls metals, and chlorine can permanently discolor or damage gold-plated hardware.

Avoid cosmetics: Apply body lotions, moisturizers, perfumes, and hairsprays fully before putting on your pieces. Exposure to these chemicals causes metal hardware to tarnish rapidly.

Storage

Separate and protect: Prevent scratches and tangles by storing each item individually in its box or pouch.

Control the environment: Avoid extreme heat, air exposure, and excess moisture (never store jewelry in the bathroom). Keep your pieces safe in a cool, dry, dark place when not in use to prevent the rapid oxidation of metals.

Cleaning & Maintenance

Hardware polishing: Maintain the shine of your gold-plated brass body hardware and stainless steel components by occasionally wiping them with a soft, dry cloth. Be very gentle and do not rub too hard.

Sterling silver posts: It is completely normal for S925 sterling silver earring posts to naturally oxidize or darken over time. A quick, gentle wipe with a dedicated silver polishing cloth will easily clean them up and restore their shine.

Special Care for Artisanal Materials

Lampwork Glass: Your jewelry features intricately crafted materials, including handmade lampwork glass and botanical resin pieces. Handle them gently and with affection. Avoid dropping them on hard surfaces or wearing them with heavy items that could clash and cause chipping. Clean glass elements only with a lightly damp or soft cloth.

Natural Stones & Crystals: Avoid any contact with chemical cleaners, lotions, or liquid jewelry dips. Simply wipe your stones gently with a soft cloth to remove skin oils and restore their natural luster.

Product Warnings

Safety hazard: Many of these handmade products contain small parts which present a choking hazard. It is the buyer’s responsibility to ensure these items are only used by responsible adults for their intended purpose as jewelry.

Allergies: While I carefully source S925 sterling silver for posts and 316 stainless steel, if you have severe metal allergies or are concerned that a product containing metal variants may cause harm, please consider carefully before placing an order.
